PROMETA™ Treatment Protocols
Innovative medical treatment approaches for alcohol, cocaine
or methamphetamine dependence

PROMETA™ is a promising medical treatment approach for the management of alcohol and stimulant (cocaine and methamphetamine) dependence.

PROMETA may be appropriate at any stage of recovery and can complement existing addiction treatments. PROMETA may be appropriate for alcohol, cocaine, or methamphetamine dependent patients if they are:

•   Looking for an innovative, targeted medical approach for the management of their dependence;
•   Disappointed with or have failed other treatment options;
•   Are unable to commit to a month away from family or career to participate in a traditional treatment program.

There are two PROMETA treatment protocols:

•   PROMETA for Alcohol Dependence
•   PROMETA for Stimulant Dependence (cocaine or methamphetamine)

PROMETA includes medically supervised treatments designed to address both the neurochemical imbalances in the brain and some of the nutritional deficits caused or worsened by substance dependence. The PROMETA treatment protocols also provide for one-month of prescription medications and nutritional supplements, combined with recommended psychological or other recovery-oriented therapy chosen by the patient in conjunction with their treatment provider.

For more information, please contact the Recovery Center at (310) 514-5300 or toll free (866) 404-7346.
